What is it that makes you different as an executive assistant? Identify your
Emphasize your benefits
A resume shouldn’t be about you; it should be about the benefits you bring to the employer. For example, do you have a proven record of accomplishment of saving employers' money? Say so. Don’t write, “I can use Microsoft Power Point.” Instead, write, “I use my technical skills to enhance presentations that increase the potential of landing a contract with a client.”
Keep it simple
Don’t include extremely old employment information. Eliminate irrelevant information like personal interests and hobbies. Avoid repetition. Use short sentences with powerful active verbs to describe your work history duties and skills. (Very few people read anything closely anymore; write the resume for scanners.)
Customize your resume for the job
Every potential employer is looking for specific elements. Hopefully, the job ad reflects those requirements for the position. Tailor your resume around those listed expectations.
